Android will make faster and more energy efficient – BBC News

Google is thought to increase the efficiency of the operating system Android. The Corporation intends to abandon the use of Dalvik virtual machine in favor of ART. This will increase the speed and stability of applications and greatly reduce power consumption.

Recall that the Dalvik virtual machine provides a compilation of applications “on the fly”, while as ART (Android Runtime) offers a compilation of installation that significantly reduces the processor load at startup, as well as increase the speed and stability of the programs.

Previously, the corporation has already integrated ART in Android 4.4 KitKat in an experimental mode. However, in the next version of the operating sisietmy Google it will be used by default.

Presumably, the next version of the mobile platform from the search giant will be called Android 4.5, but some believe that Google will call its Android 5.0. It is expected that the novelty will present at the annual developer conference Google I / O, which will be held June 25-26.
