IFA 2014: Lenovo has unveiled a new Android-tablet Tab S8 with a processor Intel – 3DNews

Lenovo has rapidly increased its presence in the smartphone market, but its range of tablet whilst not particularly impressive. However, the company seems to take an active and for this market. At least, the Chinese manufacturer introduced Tab S8, which was first among Android-plates Lenovo got processor Intel. The device can offer good performance and attractive price.

Previous Android-tablet of the company (for example, the last line A) equipped with low-cost MediaTek chips with the architecture of ARM. In Tab S8 uses a 4-core x86-processor Intel Atom Bay Trail Z3745, which is clocked at 1.33 GHz (mode Turbo – up to 1.86 GHz). The same chip is used in the latest tablets from ASUS and Acer, so Intel, apparently, begins to catch up with competitors active in the sector of Android-devices.

In addition to changing the CPU Tab S8 got much more attractive performance than with previous tablets Lenovo. The device is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal flash memory (probably supplemented slot microSD). Also available in an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 and technology One Glass Solution, which is eliminated through the gap between the touch panel and display.

The tablet also got a couple of standard Camera: 1.6-megapixel on the front side and 8-megapixel – on the back, the latter equipped with a lens with an aperture of F / 2,2. Tab S8 is equipped with two Dolby-speakers for quality sound. Tablet running the mobile operating system Android 4.4 KitKat.

Weight of the tablet is 295 grams and thickness of the device corresponds to the thickness of a pencil – 7.87 mm. With decent performance cost of the tablet was quite attractive – $ 200 manufacturer also introduced the tablet with support for 4G, but did not say how much it will be more expensive. Exit Lenovo Tab S8 on the market will be held this month.
