Samsung will update its flagship smartphones to Android 7.1.1 immediately, bypassing the intermediate version iXBT.com

the Flagship smartphones of Samsung are not the first to get updates when a new version of the Android OS. For example, the popular Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge has not yet received Android 7.0.

But, apparently, Samsung has decided to rectify the situation and instead play the role of catch-up, jump immediately to the first car (or second, if you remember the Google Pixel). As it became known, instead of to release for their flagships update to Android 7.0, 7.1 and later Android, the Korean giant will update the devices directly to Android 7.1.1.

However, when this happens, is unclear. That is, Samsung may be one of the first to update their devices to the latest to date version of Android, but can tighten and be not the first. At least Sony recently claimed that it will be the first on the market that let you upgrade to this version. But at least the owners of the Samsung flagships can be sure that as soon as the update does appear, it will be Android version 7.1.1.
